Police are investigating the shooting of a man in Algiers on Monday afternoon. The New Orleans Police Department said in a statement Monday night that a man was shot multiple times close to the intersection of General Degaulle Drive and LB Landry Avenue.
There was no immediate information on the victim's condition and no arrests have been made. Check back in with NOLA.com for updates on this story.

Tips can also be texted to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637); text TELLCS then the crime information. Callers or texters do not have to give their names or testify and can earn a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an indictment.
