Florida's coming off a torching of Wisconsin in the O'Connell Center. Can the Gators repeat that feat in Tampa?
Florida basketball's annual tour of the Sunshine State technically kicked off two weeks ago, when the Gators headed to Jacksonville to take on Georgetown. But the first regulation game that the Gators will play and finish away from the O'Dome comes today in Tampa, as Florida meets Middle Tennessee State.
Erik Murphy was perfect for Florida on Wednesday, making all 10 of his shots and tying his career high with 24 points, and he could present a defensive challenge to the Blue Raiders, who aren't exactly big up front. Middle Tennessee State won 27 games in 2011-12, and returns Marcos Knight, J.T. Sulton, and Bruce Massey from that team; the Blue Raiders have thumped the same Alabama State team that Florida crushed and snuck by Savannah State so far in 2012-13.
This game will be broadcast on TV on Sun Sports and FOX Sports South, if you have either, and the radio broadcast will be streamed free at GatorVision. But you're out of luck in terms of free and legal video streams of the game, and, as usual, don't post any illegal streams in the comments.
I'll be in the comments with y'all and on Twitter, too.
